Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
LexPilot (“LexPilot”, “we”, “us”) is an AI-assisted legal research and drafting service for practising advocates, operated by Lexonix Pvt Limited (“the Company”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we access, collect, use, store and share, and the choices you have. It includes a specific disclosure of how we handle Google user data obtained through Google Sign-In.
1. Google user data (Google Sign-In)
We let you sign in with your Google Account. When you do, we access the following Google user data through Google's OpenID Connect scopes openid, email and profile:
- Your name;
- Your email address;
- Your profile picture; and
- Your Google account identifier (the unique ID Google assigns to your account).
These are non-sensitive sign-in scopes. We do not request or access any other Google data — no Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or any other Google Workspace or Google service data.
How we use this Google data — and only for these purposes:
- to authenticate you and create and maintain your LexPilot account;
- to display your identity (your name and profile picture) inside the app;
- to associate the matters, research sessions, drafts, saved cases and notes you create with your account, so that only you can access your work; and
- to contact you about your account and to provide support.
We store your name, email address and Google account identifier. Your profile picture is shown directly from Google and is not stored on our servers.
Limited Use. LexPilot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not: sell your Google user data; use it for advertising; use it to develop, improve or train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, or allow any third party to do so; or share it with the third-party language-model providers that power our research and drafting features (see Section 3). Your Google user data is used solely to sign you in and run your account.
2. Other information you provide to us
- Phone number (optional): if you provide it during onboarding, we use it to contact you for support and account follow-up.
- Content you create: the matters, research sessions, chat messages, drafts, saved cases and notes you generate in the app.
- Facts, queries and uploaded documents: the case facts and questions you type, and the documents you upload. Uploaded documents are processed (including optical character recognition) to extract their text, which we store within your account to generate and improve your results.
3. How AI processing works — and what is never shared with it
To generate research answers and court-ready drafts, the legal content you provide — your typed facts and queries, and the extracted text of documents you upload — is sent to third-party large-language-model and embedding providers that act as our processors.
Your Google user data (name, email, profile picture and Google account identifier) is never sent to these AI providers. Only the legal content needed to answer your query is processed by them.
We do not use your content to train our own models, and our AI providers are engaged under enterprise terms and configurations that do not permit your content to be used to train models or to be shared with model developers. Providers may retain inputs transiently to provide the service under their own terms. Please do not enter information you are not authorised to process, and treat the service as you would any third-party tool when handling privileged material.
Staff access. A small number of authorised LexPilot personnel can view your content strictly for support and quality assurance. Such access is read-only and every individual access is recorded in an internal audit log.
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf to operate LexPilot — cloud hosting and databases, the language-model and embedding providers (legal content only, as above), and privacy-respecting analytics — each bound to use it only to provide their service to us. We may disclose data if required by law.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data and the content you create for as long as your account is active. You can delete matters, research sessions, drafts and saved cases at any time. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and its associated data.
6. Your rights and choices
You may access, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw consent by deleting your account. You can also revoke LexPilot's access to your Google Account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@lexpilot.in.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls and ownership-scoped data access — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Eligibility
LexPilot is intended for practising advocates and legal professionals. It is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
